Colin Riesman

Vice President of Acquisitions

Colin Riesman joined EPC Real Estate Group as VP of Acquisitions in 2026. He holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from the University of Kansas. In his role at EPC, Colin leads the Acquisitions Division, a strategic expansion into multifamily investment that represents a new vertical for the company. He is responsible for building and scaling the division from the ground up, establishing the sourcing pipeline, underwriting standards, and investment processes that will drive EPC’s growth.

Colin brings over 10 years of real estate investment experience spanning acquisitions, capital markets, and deal structuring. Prior to joining EPC, he spent over a decade with a private family office where he oversaw all acquisition and disposition activity across a multifamily portfolio exceeding 7,000 units. In that role, he was responsible for the full transaction lifecycle, from identifying and underwriting new opportunities to managing dispositions and executing strategic portfolio realignment. Operating within a family office environment demanded both institutional discipline and entrepreneurial flexibility, as he functioned as a one-stop shop across sourcing, underwriting, capital markets, and execution without the infrastructure of a large institutional platform.

Colin’s core strength is underwriting, building and stress-testing complex financial models, evaluating capital stack structures, and assessing risk-adjusted returns in a way that gives ownership and capital partners confidence in every investment decision. His notable accomplishments include playing an instrumental role in scaling a private family office’s multifamily portfolio to over 7,000 units, successfully navigating the 2022 interest rate cycle and market dislocation, and underwriting over $5 billion in multifamily investments throughout his career.

Colin’s favorite EPC Core Value is Be a No-Ego Doer. In acquisitions, ego can kill deals. He believes the best outcomes come from staying focused on the work, doing the analysis, asking the hard questions, admitting when something doesn’t pencil, and keeping relationships intact even when negotiations get difficult. He takes pride in being someone who gets things done without needing the credit and who treats every person in a transaction with the same level of respect.

Outside of work, Colin loves to golf and travel. He is also a passionate Kansas City sports fan, cheering on the Chiefs, following the Royals, and supporting the Jayhawks. Born and raised in KC, he is involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and KC Pet Project.
