Maintenance Technician
Description
Make it work and keep it that way. As a Maintenance Technician, you diagnose and repair apartment systems [HVAC (as certified), plumbing, electrical, and appliances] and complete turns with clean, quality finishes. You handle work orders, preventative maintenance, parts, and clear resident communication so everyone knows what’s happening and when. You rotate on-call, follow safety standards to the letter, and partner with the office to prioritize tickets.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC (as certified), plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
- Complete work orders within service-level timelines; document parts, labor, and resolution.
- Perform unit turns including paint, patch, caulk, hardware, and minor carpentry.
- Execute preventative maintenance schedules and inspections.
- Support emergency response and on-call rotation.
- Maintain shop inventory, tools, and a safe work environment.
- Ensure code and safety compliance; report hazards immediately.
- Assist with pools, grounds, snow/ice as applicable.
- Communicate professionally with residents and team; set expectations on timelines.
Physical Requirements
- Climb ladders; lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Work indoors/outdoors in hot and cold environments.
- Use power/hand tools and PPE safely.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years property maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

- Ability to read work orders, follow instructions, and meet deadlines
