Description

Be the community’s co-pilot. As an Assistant Manager, you balance hospitality at the front desk with accuracy behind the scenes. Your day includes supporting tours and renewals, posting rents and fees, coding invoices, reconciling figures, and jumping in as Manager on Duty when needed. You’ll route resident requests to the right place, monitor advertising and results, and keep compliance and Fair Housing top of mind. Responsibilities

  • Greet, qualify, tour, and close prospects using guest cards and procedures.
  • Record all lead traffic; maintain accurate guest card files.
  • Communicate features/benefits and align homes to prospect needs.
  • Process applications and deposits; ensure Fair Housing compliance.
  • Coordinate move-in readiness; conduct new-resident orientations.
  • Follow up on non-closing prospects; refer to sister communities when appropriate.
  • Monitor renewals; distribute renewal notices and conduct follow-ups.
  • Receive resident requests; create service orders; confirm completion and satisfaction.
  • Assist with advertising effectiveness, market surveys, and comp shops.
  • Accept and post rent payments; prepare deposit slips; maintain logs.
  • Receive, code, and route invoices; reconcile statements; resolve vendor disputes.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper codes.
  • Prepare statements for former residents; support monthly financial close.
  • Maintain commission sheets, leasing logs, and monthly reports.
  • Provide general office support; act as Manager on Duty when assigned.
  • Represent EPC professionally; uphold community standards and policies.

Physical Requirements

  • Walk/tour community and models regularly.
  • Stand/sit for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Use computer, phone, and office equipment daily.
  • Work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • 2+ years onsite leasing/APM experience (or 3+ years customer-facing role with relevant certs)
  • Fair Housing certification prior to prospect/resident interaction
  • Professional communication, follow-through, and problem solving
  • Positive attitude and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends
