Past, Present and Future

The last 12 months have been busy at EPC. We broke ground on two major projects, The District at City Center in Lenexa and Avenue 81 in Overland Park — totaling over $100 million. During 2017, the company expanded into new product types and geographical locations. We began construction on Avenue 81, a 156-bed senior living project in Overland Park, KS and expanded geographically into Texas where we completed design of the Village at Rayzor Ranch just outside of Dallas.

Other notable events included finishing construction of Downtown Overland Park’s newest and largest apartment project in 30 years, Avenue 80. We held the ribbon cutting at Savannah West, a new “big house” style project. We also stabilized three properties:

  1. Mission 106 in Leawood, Kansas
  2. Domain at City Center in Lenexa, Kansas
  3. Commerce Tower in downtown Kansas City, Missouri

EPC also won two prestigious awards recently: Avenue 80 received the Best Mixed-Use Capstone honors and Savannah West won Property of the Year from the Kansas City Apartment Association.

EPC has a passion for Best-in-Class specialty mixed-use projects, and although we embrace what others in the market see, we focus on what others don’t see. We are typically first-to-market in each location and select sites with long-term competitive advantages that continue to drive value for buyers. We strive to be forward thinking and innovative, and resist being steered by market trends. Our projects are examples of this passion.

We look forward to discussing market opportunities with all our partners and clients in 2018.
