Scott Baron
Project Manager
Scott Baron joined EPC Real Estate Group as a Project Manager in 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas, where he was also a member of the football team. Scott brings a strong foundation in construction management and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to his work. In his role at EPC, he leverages his technical knowledge and field experience to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, always with EPC's priorities in mind. Prior to joining EPC, Scott built a successful career with a large general contractor, managing a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from renovations and additions to full-scale new construction. This breadth of experience has given him deep insight into every phase of the building process. His ability to interpret plans, coordinate subcontractors, and resolve on-site challenges enables him to build trust with contractors and lead teams effectively. Scott's hands-on knowledge also allows him to identify inflated costs, unrealistic timelines, and discrepancies in proposals, skills that contribute directly to project success. His mindset is to promote humility, teamwork, and accountability, all of which are essential in the fast-paced and complex world of construction and real estate development. Outside of work, he is passionate about encouraging youth to explore careers in the trades, recognizing the increasing value of skilled labor as an alternative to traditional academic pathways. In his free time, Scott enjoys staying active through sports and recreation. While he may not compete at the same level as in his college days, he still finds time to play volleyball and coach his children in basketball and football.

Todd Block
Accounts Payable Specialist
Todd Block joined EPC Real Estate Group as an Accounts Payable Specialist in 2024. With a strong educational background in Business Administration and Accounting from Western Governo's University, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to his role. Prior to joining EPC, Todd gained valuable experience in managing a wide range of accounts payable functions, including fixed asset software management, vendor reconciliations, and training facility staff on accounts payable procedures. His attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and analytical mindset make him a valuable asset in his current position. Todd's passion for his work is complemented by his commitment to EPC's Core Values. He believes in Choosing Positivity, which enables him to tackle challenges head-on and seek the best outcomes. Todd's dedication extends beyond his professional life, as he actively supports causes such as the KC STEM Alliance, Kansas City Art Institute, and Scouting America. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and kids and finds joy in reading comic books. Fun fact: Todd utilizes his 3D printer to create functional items as well as superhero, sci-fi, and fantasy props!

Karin Booty
Accounts Payable Specialist
Karin Booty serves as the EPC Real Estate Group Accounts Payable Specialist, working alongside our Controller and Director of Finance to keep our accounting processes running smoothly for all aspects of our company's operations. Karin originally joined EPC as an Assistant Community Manager at Mission 106 in 2019, having nearly 10 years of experience in the multifamily industry. Her extensive experience has equipped her with a range of essential skills that she brings to her current position, including a willingness to learn and meticulous attention to detail. In 2021, Karin earned the EPC Core Value Distinction award, Do The Right Thing, Even When Nobody Is Looking. Additionally, Karin holds her CAM designation through the local Apartment Association. Outside of the office, she is deeply passionate about the KCFC non-profit organization. Karin has a longstanding connection to the community, having spent countless weekends of her youth at the Heritage Football complex and now actively participating as a cheer coach and Assistant Area Director for the Shawnee Mission High School region. Austin Bradley
Executive Vice President
As the Executive Vice President, Austin oversees operations for EPC's new development projects, inclusive of; office, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and mixed-use. Austin manages all aspects of development procedures from project identification, feasibility, financing, entitlements, design, to construction management. Throughout Austin's tenure, he has developed over 1,000 multifamily units and 100,000 square feet of commercial space, leading to the creation of $250 million in value. Several of Austin's projects have received best in class awards helping EPC distinguish itself from its competitors. Prior to joining EPC, Austin worked at HOK, formerly 360 Architecture. There, Austin managed both personnel and projects up to $50 million, which included hospitality, recreation and wellness, and sports and entertainment projects. Austin's tremendous attention to detail, incredible worth ethic, and knack for building equitable and prosperous business relationships has led to numerous development opportunities. Austin holds a Master of Architecture and Minor in Business from the University of Kansas and has been named by Ingram's magazine as one of Kansas City's “Forty under 40” (2021). Austin serves on the Executive Board for Braden's Hope for Childhood Cancer Awareness and annually participates in the walk to end Alzheimer's through the Alzheimer's Association – Heart of America Chapter. Austin's passion for creating illustrious designs and his future forward mentality has equipped EPC to be the premier development partner in the Midwest.

Brandon Brazda
Performance Development Manager
As the Performance Development Manager, Brandon is accountable for improving efficiencies in onboarding and training initiatives while driving personal and professional growth, resulting in strengthening EPC's organizational culture. He brings nearly 10 years of experience in the multifamily industry, having conducted multiple lease up developments prior to joining the EPC team. Brandon has been a Crystal Merit Award recipient, earning the title of Assistant Manager of the Year through the Apartment Association of Kansas City. Brandon's philanthropic community contributions include Harvesters, KCFEC and Newhouse KC.

Holly Carter
Asset Manager
As an Asset Manager with EPC Real Estate Group, Holly Carter brings over 20 years of combined industry experience to the team. Holly originally joined EPC in 2014 as an Assistant Manager at The Landing at Briarcliff. Throughout her time at EPC, Holly earned multiple promotions and gained experience in various projects, serving as a new-hire mentor and lease-up guru to all. After taking some time away from EPC to gain experience in insurance sales and business management, Holly returned to EPC as an Asset Manager in late 2023. Holly has managed several notable assets, including The Landing at Briarcliff, 51 Main, Commerce Tower, Savannah West, and Arterra. Her multifamily accomplishments and education highlights include recognition as the 2020 AAKC Rookie Manager of the Year, in addition to earning her CALP (formerly NALP) and CAM designations. Holly has earned her Crime-Free Housing Certification, as well as Property & Casualty, Life and Health insurance licenses. Holly's favorite EPC Core Value is "Driven To Lead, Not Follow". She values innovation and strives to stand out positively, especially in a saturated market. Outside of work, Holly enjoys traveling and spending time with her hilarious kiddos and sweet (not so little) Great Dane puppy. She gives her time and support to her community alongside the Toys for Tots organization.

Natalie Gordon
Vice President of Asset Management
Natalie joined EPC in 2014. Her expansive knowledge of the multifamily and property management industry as well as natural leadership abilities quickly led her into varying roles within the organization. Natalie has served as a Community Manager, Director of Operations, and the Director of Asset Management before transitioning into the Vice President of Asset Management role in July of 2021. Natalie provides overall administration, financial, and operational management within the EPC portfolio. Natalie's strong contract negotiation and strategic advisory skills has contributed to substantial portfolio gains. Natalie plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the future growth and development of the organization. She is primarily responsible for leading the operations of EPC's full-service management company, which includes physical asset management and participation in expansion. Prior to EPC, Natalie worked for Oddo Development where her property management career began. Since then, Natalie has earned the following designations; Certified Apartment Manager, L.E.A.D (Leadership, Education, and Development), National Apartment Association Leadership (LYCEUM) and currently serves as the President on the Executive Board of Directors for the Downtown Overland Park Partnership and the Vice President on the Board of Directors for SteepleRidge Condominiums. Natalie has been a part of five Overall Best Property Crystal Merit awards through the Apartment Association of Kansas City. Natalie holds a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and a minor in Art History from the University of Missouri Kansas City. Natalie is associated with the American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and has served for many years as a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House for Children's Mercy Hospital.

Gina Johnson
Vice President of Human Resources
As the Vice President of Human Resources, Gina manages multiple company initiatives and processes; including compensation packages, benefits, payroll, new hire paperwork and employee relations. Gina ensures employees' adherence to company processes and procedures and advises on labor policies as well as streamlines fair employment practices that adhere to the needs of the organization. Prior to joining EPC, Gina was the Vice President at Dunes Residential where she oversaw the daily operations of 900 multi-family units. Gina's prior experience has elevated EPC to new heights within the organizational structure. Gina's immense knowledge of interpersonal and relational communication, attention to detail, strong organizational aptitude and the flexibility to adapt has cultivated a culture at EPC that is open and welcoming. Gina has been a Chrystal Merit Award recipient, earning the title of the Most Valuable Player through the Apartment Association of Kansas City. Gina began serving on the EPC Leadership team in 2020 where she focuses on strategic planning and implementation. Gina earned an Associates of Applied Science degree from Johnson County Community College in Apparel Marketing and Design and is currently pursuing a professional designation in Human Resources. Gina is an active member of the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, Salvation Army and repeatedly contributes and volunteers through Children's Mercy Hospital and its affiliates.

Tony Kolojay
Controller
As the Controller, Tony is responsible for all accounting functions of EPC's property operations, including production and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and annual budgets. Tony has implemented many policies and procedures to help improve current accounting functions to better consistently produce accurate and timely financial reporting to investors, clients and ownership groups. Prior to EPC, Tony brings over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, primarily in the Chicago market. His experience includes multi-family, commercial (office and retail), development and mixed-use properties. Tony has an extensive understanding of real estate accounting and is a strong team leader that leads by example and mentor to direct reports. Tony holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University. Tony serves his community through various non-profits, including Autism Awareness and Animal Rights.

Michael J. McKeen
President and CEO
As the President and CEO of EPC Real Estate Group, Michael McKeen drives the overall vision and strategic direction of the company. His leadership ensures that EPC not only upholds its core values but also fosters a dynamic organizational culture that supports employee growth and aligns with long-term business objectives. Michael plays a pivotal role in guiding the leadership of each business component, ensuring cohesive and strategic development across the board.

Michael brought a wealth of experience and relationships from his previous roles at Briarcliff Development Company and Turner Construction Company. Through his career, Michael has had a key role in the development and management of over a combined 7,700 multi-family/hotel units, 900,000 square feet of commercial space, and the construction of multiple MLS stadiums, an NFL stadium, and securing capital for private development projects exceeding $1.8 billion.
In addition to his professional achievements, Michael has served as an advisor, member or director in 25+ professional, civic and philanthropic organizations and has been a speaker, panelist or instructor at over 30 conferences and meetings. Currently, Michael is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Kansas City Chapter and serves as a Director for a regional ($5B) bank.

Claire Millar
Administrative Assistant
Claire Millar joined EPC Real Estate Group as an Administrative Assistant in 2024. She holds a B.S. in Strategic Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Missouri – Columbia and brings a strong foundation in organization, communication, and operational support to her role. Claire works closely with the EPC leadership team, managing everything from calendar coordination and internal communications to office management and team logistics. Her focus is on ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. Before joining EPC, Claire served as an Administrative Assistant in Denver, Colorado, where she supported cross-functional teams and developed her skills in problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail. Her adaptability, discretion, and natural ability to anticipate needs make her an indispensable part of the team. Claire's favorite EPC Core Value is Choose Positivity. She believes that while we cannot control every situation, we can control how we respond. Maintaining a positive outlook helps her face challenges with resilience and optimism. Brendon O'Leary
Executive Vice President
As the Executive Vice President, Brendon is responsible for all aspects in new development projects and acts as a liaison between Development and the Asset Management team. Brendon has contributed to numerous EPC projects including 3,000 multifamily units and 275,000 square feet of commercial and retail space since he began his career in 2012. Brendon is prolific in design, site selection, underwriting, and real estate funding that has totaled over 700 million dollars. Brendon has been instrumental in procuring foundational real estate transactions that has equipped EPC to become one of the forefront development companies. Brendon strategically evaluates efficiencies within the organization while motivating and encouraging teams. Brendon's resilience to facilitate a profitable future at EPC is unmatched, his tenacity for excelling is unrivaled. Brendon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance and a Minor in Economics from the University of Arkansas. Brendon is active in the Police Athletic League and enjoys volunteering with Children's Mercy Hospital.

Terence P. O'Leary
Chairman
As the Chairman and a founding partner, Terence focuses on being a mentor and working on exciting new developments. Terence conceptualized the idea of ePartment Communities, now known as EPC, in 1999 with a development focus on technology and successfully developed the first wireless apartment community in 2001. Terence's passion for creating unique apartment communities along with tasteful commercial and retail space has cultivated not only one of the most accomplished multifamily development companies, but a rewarding company culture that puts people first. Terence's personal mission has been to create the “Next” experience for EPC's residents and providing a platform to investors to realize desired returns on their investment. Prior to EPC, Terence began a prosperous career at Zimmer-Steinbach Brokerage Co. where he became the Managing Principal that led to the merger with Turley-Martin in St. Louis; what is now Cushman Wakefield of Kansas City. Terence holds a BSBA from the University of Missouri Columbia and enjoys giving back to the community through Catholic Charities, St. Lawrence Center, and the Folds of Honor organization.

Jill Sansone
Asset Manager
As the Asset Manager, Jill works directly with the onsite teams to enhance property performance in order to achieve optimal returns on investments to owners. To her credit, she has overseen six of EPC's new developments from construction to lease up as well as the sale of the asset. Jill currently has three multifamily and mixed-use assets in her portfolio, totaling 689 units as well as over 70,000 square feet of commercial space. Prior assets managed include Village at Mission Farms, 51 Main, Savannah West, Commerce Tower, Avenue 80, and The Locale. Her current assets include Avenue 80, 225 Sycamore, West Bottoms Flats and Avenue 82. Jill began her career at EPC as a leasing consultant in 2009 and has since worked her way up to her current role bringing over twelve years of multifamily experience to the industry. Jill studied at Rockhurst University and Maple Woods College. Jill serves her community through various charities including Children's Mercy, National Pediatric Foundation and Noah's Bandage Project.

Andrew Sapp
Asset Manager
Andrew Sapp joined EPC Real Estate Group as an Asset Manager in 2025. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining the value, efficiency, and overall performance of properties within his portfolio. Andrew takes a resident- and owner-focused approach to asset management, aiming to deliver both a high-quality tenant experience and strong financial outcomes. He holds several key industry certifications, including Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor, Certified Credit Compliance Professional, and Project Management Professional. These credentials reflect his expertise in multifamily operations, compliance, and large-scale project oversight. Andrew's professional background includes leadership positions such as Regional Manager, Project Manager, and Portfolio Manager. As a Project Manager, he oversaw the rehabilitation of more than 1,700 conventional housing units, representing over fifty million dollars in redevelopment. Using Lean Construction methods, he helped contractors stay on budget while minimizing disruption to residents. He also led the successful lease-up of more than 1,400 units across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Tennessee, focusing on luxury and student housing developments. His favorite EPC Core Value is Be a No-Ego Doer. Andrew believes this mindset fosters collaboration, creativity, and accountability, all key ingredients for achieving strong results. He is also the recipient of multiple honors from the Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma, including Manager of the Year, Community of the Year, and the LouAnn Edwards Award, all in 2019. Andrew is passionate about giving back and supports causes such as Special Olympics, Peer Mediation initiatives, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Outside of work, he enjoys movies, swimming, and traveling, especially discovering new beach destinations.

Andy Smith
Director of Finance
Andy Smith holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from the University of Kansas. He also earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, demonstrating a high level of expertise in financial reporting and regulatory compliance. His career includes leadership experience across public accounting, finance, and real estate investment, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, investor communications, and project oversight. Prior to joining EPC, Andy served as Director of Finance for a family office overseeing three operating businesses, including a Class A mixed-use development, a flexible office leasing company, and a start-up restaurant concept. He also held senior financial roles at a publicly traded real estate investment trust and began his career in audit at a national accounting firm. His background spans nearly two decades of progressive leadership in accounting, finance, compliance, and strategic planning. Andy's favorite EPC Core Value is Do the Right Thing, Even When Nobody Is Looking, which he sees as a reflection of integrity. He believes integrity is one of the most important traits a person can have, both professionally and personally, and values the trust it builds within a team and community. Andy supports causes that are close to his heart, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Folds of Honor. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, shuttling them between sports and activities, and relaxing with friends and family whenever there's a break in the schedule.

Cory Strunk
Director of Asset Management
As the Director of Asset Management, Cory is accountable for the financial and operational performance of 550 units concurrently. Cory works collectively with the onsite community manager to ensure optimal operational performance and acts as a liaison between EPC and their stakeholders and investors to implement strategic metrics to maximize returns. Cory oversees the portfolio's revenue management software to limit exposure while capturing top rental growth compared to competitors. Cory's expertise in integration has led to flawless software conversions that enhanced overall customer and employee experience. Cory has successfully assisted with multiple property sales that resulted in financial gain through enhanced revenue and expense management. Prior to joining EPC, Cory worked for Ernst and Young where he audited complex financial infrastructures and for Red Development where he managed accounting and lease administration for multiple retail tenants. Cory's keen aptitude for budgeting and reforecasting has led EPC to experience significant portfolio growth. Cory graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Cory enjoys serving at the United Way and giving back through the KC Pet Project.

Bri Swanson
Marketing Manager
As the Marketing Manager and seasoned multifamily professional, Bri develops social media strategies, product marketing campaigns, tracks and measures conversion rates, engagements and other key metrics for campaigns; website design, Google analytics, and SEO. Bri works closely with the development and leasing teams to streamline marketing efforts and company products and services to enhance overall marketability. Bri's strong client and public relations and research propensity has led to immense brand awareness for EPC. Prior to joining EPC, Bri worked for Asset Living as a Community Manager where she successfully stabilized two downtown luxury high rises; overcame one of the most competitive sub-markets by leveraging the surrounding Crossroads Arts District with her "outside-of-the-box" marketing efforts to draw in qualified traffic resulting in higher lead-to-lease conversions. Since joining EPC, Bri has single-handedly created multiple digital promotional campaigns that has driven lead generation and effectively increased community and company Social Media insights and engagement. Bri's high-level of operational fortitude has resulted in substantial enhancements to EPC's overall market strategy.

Jeremy Tinkler
Project Executive
As the Project Executive, Jeremy collaborates with the Development team on new deal creation and delivery of new projects. Jeremy is accountable for administering architectural, engineering and construction contracts, ensures project schedules and budgets are maintained, reviews loan draws, FF&E procurement and project turnover. Jeremy oversees the Salt Lake City division and has ownership over new projects from implementation to execution. Prior to EPC, Jeremy was a Principle at HOK where he completed significant and sizable projects inclusive of; H&R Block World Headquarters, Kansas City Power + Light Entertainment District, Brookside 51, Basra Sports City; Basra, Iraq, River Cree Crossing; Edmonton, Canada, SkyCenter One Office; Tampa, FL. Jeremy studied Architecture at Kansas State University, receiving his LEED AP registration in 2007, architectural registration in 2013 and is currently licensed in MO, KS, FL, and Alberta Canada. Jeremy's grit and extensive experience working with leading developers around the globe has elevated the organizational strategy for growth and success. Causes and foundations that Jeremy gives back to include, Alzheimer's Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and architectural mentorship at the University of Kansas and Kansas State University.
